Comedy open mic night every Tuesday night at The Secret Group, open to aspiring comedians and seasoned performers.
The Secret Group hosts Pass the Mic, its Tuesday night comedy open mic, on October 13. It's a weekly thing, and this particular night follows the venue's TNA Tuesdays, so it's part of a longer run of activity at the space.
The format is as open as it sounds: the stage is open to aspiring comedians, whether they're seasoned stand-up performers with a few years under their belt or first-timers stepping up to a microphone for the very first time. That mix is what an open mic is all about—you'll hear a range of experience levels on the same bill, from people working through a tight set to those just figuring out how to hold the room. It's a place for new material to get its first few laughs and for newer comics to get their feet wet.
Because it's an open mic, the lineup changes every week. You won't find a headliner on the bill; instead, you get whoever signs up to take a turn. The night is strictly 21+, so keep that in mind before you head over.
