Texas country and Americana songwriter Paige Lewis performs live at Truck Yard, showcasing her songwriting and musical range.
Paige Lewis plays Truck Yard on Thursday, November 5, at 7 PM. It's a Texas country and Americana set from a songwriter who's spent a good chunk of her career far from the Houston area she's returning to now.
Lewis grew up in Katy, and her professional start came early—she signed with Warner Chappell Publishing and Word Records while still in high school. From there, she put out four studio albums and picked up an ASCAP songwriting award. Her songs have landed in the Ridley Scott film Matchstick Men, and she's shared the stage with K.T. Tunstall, Zach Brown Band, and Katy Perry. She's also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and starred in an Uber commercial.
After moving back to Houston from Los Angeles, she shifted her focus toward her country roots. The songs she's writing now draw on local touchstones: the Houston Astros, the Guadalupe River, and Austin's 6th Street. It's a homecoming in more than just the address—she's returning to the Texas country and Americana sound she grew up around.
