Progressive post-hardcore band Novumora performs live at The End in Houston, supported by Terra Coast and Estraya, as part of the Rock Houston series.
Novumora play The End on Wednesday, October 14, as part of the Rock Houston series. They're the headliner for the night, and they're bringing two other bands along for the bill: Terra Coast and Estraya Shipwrecked. It's a three-band lineup, so you'll get a full evening of music rather than just a single set.
If you're not familiar with them, Novumora is a progressive post-hardcore band from Atlanta, Georgia. They've got roots in the Southeast, and they're playing here in Houston as part of the Rock Houston series, which brings in rock acts from outside the city. The progressive side of their sound usually means they're not sticking to a standard verse-chorus-verse structure, and the post-hardcore side brings the heavier, more aggressive edge. Between the two, you'll get a set that shifts between those heavier moments and more complex, evolving parts.
There's a bit of history behind the name, too. Novumora was formed by members of the band Euphoria, so this isn't a group of strangers coming together for a project—it's a band built from a previous one. That usually means they've already spent a fair amount of time playing together before they ever stepped on a stage under this name. If you've followed Euphoria, this is the next chapter for those musicians.
