NOTHING MATTERS Emo | Indie | Punk Dance Party

The Secret Group is hosting NOTHING MATTERS, an emo, indie, and punk dance party, on Friday, November 13, 2026. It's exactly what the name says: a night built around those three sounds, with the DJ spinning through the eras rather than a live band taking the stage. If you spent your younger years with a playlist full of mid-2000s emo, early indie, and punk, this is the kind of night that lets you dance to all of it in one go.

The party runs from 9 PM to 2 AM, so there's plenty of room to settle in. The music covers emo, indie, and punk, and since it's a dance party, the focus is on keeping the floor moving rather than listening to a single set. You'll hear the emo side—the melodic, earnest stuff—alongside the more driving energy of punk and the broader reach of indie. It's a broad enough spread that you can find your way through the night regardless of which of those three you lean toward most.

It's at The Secret Group, located at 2101 Polk in Houston. The party kicks off at 9 PM and goes until 2 AM, so it's a late one. If you get there early, it's free before 10 PM, and then it's $5 after that. For those 18 and under, it's $20. So, if you're planning to make a night of it, getting in before 10 is the way to go.
