A multi-genre in-person intensive writing workshop held at Inprint House, focusing on craft instruction and in-class writing exercises.
Inprint is running a multi-genre writing workshop at Inprint House on Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15. It's one of their Intensive Workshops—the one-to-two day crash courses they hold at the house, built around craft instruction, in-class writing exercises and the sharing of work. They keep the class sizes small to keep the environment intimate.
These sit alongside Inprint's longer workshops, which the Houston Press once called Houston's 'Best Place for Aspiring Writers.' Those longer terms run for six to ten weeks, either online via Zoom or in person at Inprint House, and combine reading published writers, critiquing each other's work and receiving written comments from the instructor. They're modeled on graduate-level creative writing courses and are led by accomplished local authors, including students, alumni and faculty from the University of Houston Creative Writing Program.

The workshops are open to writers of all backgrounds, first-timers included, and are offered in fiction, memoir, personal essay, poetry and more. This particular one is a multi-genre session, so it's a good fit if you're working across a few different forms or just want to see how they talk to each other. Both days run from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and the cost is $225.
