Los Souldees bring their rockin' show to The Continental Club on Saturday, October 10, with Son Bayou and Santos Sounds opening the night. It's a full bill for a Saturday in Houston, and the Souldees are the main draw.
If you haven't caught them before, Los Souldees are a Houston-based musical collective rooted in the soulful sounds of the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. They draw from Motown, classic oldies, and vintage R&B, with Chicano Soul at the centerโa tradition born from Mexican and Tejano musicians' take on lowrider oldies and regional sounds. They cite Sunny and The Sunliners, Sam Cooke, Los Lobos, and Doug Sahm as inspirations, and they've built a reputation for high-energy live sets anchored by fan-favorite singles like "Lets Jam Baby" and their sophomore album, Wildflower.
Son Bayou and Santos Sounds open the show, so there's music running well before the headliner takes the stage. The whole night is strictly 21+ unless you're accompanied by a parent.
