Locals Only: A comedy showcase

Locals Only is a comedy showcase at The Pink Flamingo Comedy Club on Wednesday, October 14, from 8 PM to 10 PM. It's a night for local comedians, and it's presented by the club itself.

If you're not familiar, The Pink Flamingo Comedy Club is Houston's newest comedy club. They book comedians from all over the world alongside the best names in Texas, so they've got a broad reach. Locals Only sits within a wider Houston free comedy scene where working comics sharpen their material at bar showcases and open mics—shows that are often run by the same comics and producers who put together the city's ticketed nights. It's a good way to see the local scene as it's being built.

Beyond this showcase, the club also programs a weekly Thursday Night Comedy series, which runs every Thursday at 8 PM. If you're looking for a regular spot to catch stand-up, that's a consistent one to keep on your radar.

The room is 21+ in person, and the show is free with an RSVP. It runs from 8 PM to 10 PM on Wednesday, October 14, at The Pink Flamingo Comedy Club, 1008 Prairie St, Houston, TX 77002.
