Concert by Canadian singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine performing her The Over Country Tour at 713 Music Hall in Houston.
Lizzy McAlpine plays 713 Music Hall on Saturday, May 1, 2027. She's coming through Houston as part of The Over Country Tour, and she's the only name on the bill for the night.
If you've been following her, you know she's spent the last few years moving from bedroom-pop beginnings toward a more expansive, full-band sound. The Over Country Tour is the latest chapter in that, and the set will be built around the new material she's touring. It's a tour that takes the songs from the record and puts them on a stage, so you'll hear the new songs as they were meant to be played live.
McAlpine has a way of letting the lyrics do the heavy lifting, and that carries over into the live show. The new songs sit alongside the older ones she's known for, so the set pulls from across her catalog rather than sticking to just the latest release. It's a full evening of her work, with her as the sole performer on the bill.
