Kodo, a world-renowned Japanese taiko performing arts ensemble, performs live at the Performing Arts Center as part of its 2027 US tour and 45th Anniversary Concert Series.
Kodo plays Jones Hall for the Performing Arts on Thursday, February 25, 2027. The Houston date is part of their 2027 US tour, which runs from January through March, and falls within the Kodo 45th Anniversary Concert Series.
Kodo is a taiko performing arts ensemble that's been touring under the 'One Earth' banner for more than four decades, with over 7,500 performances in more than 50 countries. The set usually pairs signature pieces they've honed through years of international touring—the O-daiko drum solo and the climactic Yatai-bayashi finale—with new works by current members. This tour also brings something new: original compositions by guest artists from different genres, the first time they've included guest work like that this century.
