Americana and Alt-Country concert by Jeremy Parsons, with a set of originals, at The Rustic Post Oak.
Jeremy Parsons plays The Rustic Post Oak on Saturday, October 17, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. It's a midday set, so you'll be out by lunch, and it's all original material.
Parsons is a San Antonio-born Americana and alt-country singer-songwriter who started playing in high school, drawing on the Texas music tradition. His sound mixes Americana, country, and electronica, and he's put out three records so far. His 2023 EP, LIFE, gave him two of his best-known songs: "Humanity" and "Life Worth Dyin' For," the latter of which hit #1 on country airplay. That record also brought him some industry recognition—he was named Country Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2024 New Music Awards and was a finalist in the 2024 New Folk Competition. His single "The Garden" reached #45 on the Billboard Digital Songs Sales Chart.
At the show, he'll be playing his own songs rather than covers. The setlist includes "Who Was I," "The Garden," "Life Worth Dyin' For," "Lillian," and "I Am." If you've heard the EP, "Life Worth Dyin' For" will be the one you recognize most.

It's a Saturday morning slot, so it's more of a brunch-time thing than a late-night outing. The show runs from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at The Rustic Post Oak in Houston.
