The Glenn Miller Orchestra presents a holiday show featuring timeless hits and fresh Christmas arrangements.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra is playing at the Cullen Theater in the Wortham Center on Wednesday, December 23, 2026, at 7 PM. They're bringing a new holiday show that puts the band's usual hits alongside Christmas favorites. It's a big ensemble—more than 18 musicians and singers on stage—and the set is built around two distinct sides of their book.
On the holiday side, they're playing arrangements of Christmas standards: Home for the Holidays, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, White Christmas, Jingle Bells, and I'll Be Home for Christmas. Those run right up against the songs they're known for, the big band classics like Chattanooga-Choo Choo, Moonlight Serenade, In the Mood, and Pennsylvania 6-5000. The two halves share the same stage, so you'll hear the holiday material and the standard repertoire in the same set.
Behind the scenes, the show is presented by DDA Productions, with the box office handled by Performing Arts Houston in partnership with Houston First Corporation. It's a mid-week date, just two days before Christmas, so it's one of those things you can fit in before the holiday break kicks in.
