I Prevail with Three Days Grace and The Funeral Portrait

I Prevail play The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Sunday, October 25, starting at 7 PM. They're not alone on the bill: Three Days Grace and The Funeral Portrait are both on the lineup, and the whole night is part of Three Days Grace's Alienation Tour.

If you're not familiar with them, I Prevail are a post-hardcore band from Southfield, Michigan. They first got a lot of attention in 2014 with a cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" that racked up over 20 million views on YouTube and landed on Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6. Their 2015 debut EP, Heart Vs. Mind, earned them opening slots for Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil, and they headlined the Strike the Match Tour in 2016. They formed in 2013, and their sound pulls from metal, post-hardcore, rock, and metalcore, so there's a fair bit of ground covered in a single set.

With Three Days Grace and The Funeral Portrait joining them, it's a full evening of music rather than a single act. Three Days Grace is the headliner of the Alienation Tour that this date is a part of, so the night is built around their run. The Pavilion is in The Woodlands, just north of Houston, and the show starts at 7 PM.

One thing to keep in mind before you head out: the venue has a strict bag policy. All bags and purses have to be smaller than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches unless they're clear, in which case they can be up to 12 inches by 12 inches. It's worth double-checking your bag size before you leave so you don't get turned away at the gate.
