Month-long festival with haunted attractions, live concerts, carnival midway, and horror films.
Houston Scream Fest is back at 1500 Elton St for the 2026 season, running throughout October and stretching into November 1 and 2. It's a month-long haunt, so you've got plenty of nights to choose from rather than just one weekend. The park opens at 8 PM every night it's running, and stays open until 12:30 AM on Friday and Saturday nights, closing a bit earlier at 10:30 PM on all other nights.
The core of the experience is the haunted houses. There are four of them—Sanitarium, Castle of Doom, Casa De La Llorona, and The Graveyard—and your ticket gives you unlimited access to all of them on the night you go, so you can hit them as many times as you want. Beyond the houses, there's a zombie paintball shoot and Club Blood, which has a DJ going.
What sets it apart from a standard haunt is the scale. It's built like a festival: a carnival-style midway and a food court that serves adult beverages, paired with a full concert venue that hosts live music every night the park is open. It's also set up for comfort as much as for the scares—free, well-lit, patrolled parking and indoor air-conditioned restrooms instead of porta-cans, with police and fire department security on site. Your ticket also includes admission to H-Town Paintball.

Local media have described it as more than a haunted house, calling it a haunted festival. A Weekend Park Pass is $75 and is good from Friday through Sunday nights of the same week you buy it, except for the last week of October. The park is at 1500 Elton St, Houston, TX 77034.
