International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship held at Reliant Center, Hall D, with advance registration entry.
Houston IBJJF 2026 takes over the Reliant Center on Saturday, October 10, as part of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship. It's a major stop for the sport here in Houston, and this time it's taking place in Hall D of the center, inside Reliant Park.
If you're not familiar with how these things work, IBJJF is the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and their events are among the biggest in the world. This is a competition, not a demonstration, so you'll see athletes from across the region going up against each other in a series of matches. The action is spread across the mats in Hall D, and because it's a tournament, the day is built around a bracketโfighters compete in one match, and if they win, they move on to the next. It's the kind of event where you can pick a few competitors to follow through the day and see how far they make it.
One thing to keep in mind is that this is an advance registration event. If you're planning to compete, you'll need to sign up ahead of time rather than just showing up on the day. If you're coming just to watch, you'll get a full day of matches to choose from.

The competition runs from 8 AM to 7 PM, so it's a long one. You can drop in for a few hours in the morning or afternoon, or hang out for the whole day and catch the brackets as they unfold. It's all happening at the Reliant Center in Hall D, inside Reliant Park.
