The Health Museum annual black-tie charity fundraiser featuring awards, a live auction, music and dancing to support health education.
The Health Museum is holding its annual Health Heroes Gala on Saturday, October 10, at the Hotel ZaZa Houston Museum District. It's a black-tie charity fundraiser, so you'll want to dust off your tuxedo or gown for the night. The evening runs from 6 PM to 10 PM at 5701 Main Street, right in the heart of the Museum District.
The night is built around honoring the people who work every day to strengthen the physical, mental, and social well-being of the community. The program mixes those awards with a live auction, and the proceeds go toward the museum's mission to spark wonder, curiosity, and lifelong learning about health, medical science, and the human bodyβwith a good chunk of that funding hands-on science education along the way. It's a full evening: dinner, the awards, the auction, and music and dancing to round it out.
On the hosting side, the gala chairs are John Cangelosi, M.D., and Natasha Cangelosi, FNP-C. Emceeing the night is Ernie Manouse, the Executive Producer and host at Houston Public Media (PBS/NPR), who'll be the one keeping things moving from the podium.
