Beginner-friendly Halloween embroidery class with glow-in-the-dark beaded spiderwebs, hosted by Whimsical Wonders at Lyric Market.
Whimsical Wonders is hosting a Halloween Glow-in-the-Dark Embroidery Class at Lyric Market on Saturday, Oct 24, from 6 PM to 8 PM. The project is a glow-in-the-dark beaded spiderweb, and it's designed for beginners, so you don't need any prior experience to join in. They provide all the supplies, and you'll get step-by-step instruction throughout the evening. Your spot also includes a cocktail or mocktail of your choice.
If you're not familiar with the venue, Lyric Market is a food hall in Downtown Houston's Theater District that opened in October 2022 and takes up an entire city block. It's built around nine food stalls and a bar, with a 7,500-square-foot deck, a communal plaza, a street-side terrace, and a private event space. The vendors there include Dorado Sushi, Mexology, 1929 Po-Boy Kitchen, Press Waffle Co., Samurai Noodle, Kati Roll Wala, and Starbucks. At the center is Lyric Bar, which pours house cocktails alongside classics made with spirits distilled in Houston and beyond. The market also hosts live jazz every Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM.

Since the class is in the middle of the food hall, you can easily hang around afterward to grab a bite from any of the restaurants, sip on Halloween-themed drinks, and use a spooky photo booth. It's a good way to turn a couple of hours of crafting into a full evening out downtown. The class runs from 6 PM to 8 PM on Saturday, Oct 24, at Lyric Market, 411 Smith St, Houston, TX 77002.
