Pop-folk duo Good Morning Bedlam perform live at McGonigels Mucky Duck, known for their energetic shows and stunning harmonies.
Good Morning Bedlam play McGonigel's Mucky Duck on Tuesday, October 20, at 7 PM. It's the duo version of the band, with songwriters Tori Elker and Isaak Elker taking the stage together.
They're a pop-folk duo out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They built their following on the road, playing more than 200 shows in 2019 before the COVID-19 shutdown. Along the way, they took first place at the John Hartford Memorial Festival Band Competition and became finalists at the NWSS Band Competition. Their live shows are known for wild energy and stunning harmonies, and they've shared stages with Shakey Graves, Sam Bush, Jason Isbell, The Infamous Stringdusters, and Trampled By Turtles, with coverage in Bluegrass Today, Relix, Glide, and Paste magazines.
This particular set is stripped-down. Instead of a full band, it's just the two of them, and the performance leans on the songwriters chatting about the themes of the songs and taking questions from the audience. It's a more conversational way of doing a show, where the stories behind the music get as much air as the songs themselves.
