Comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes brings her Funjelah Live Podcast Taping to Houston, recording an episode of her podcast with special guests alongside her stand-up comedy and character work.
Anjelah Johnson-Reyes is bringing her Funjelah podcast to Punch Line Comedy Club in Houston on Thursday, October 15, 2026. It's a live taping, so you're not just watching a show—you're part of the recording. She'll be recording an episode of the podcast right there in the room, and she's bringing along special guests to join her for the conversation.
If you've followed her work, you know the two things she's best known for: her stand-up and her character work. Both are on the bill here. The night isn't just the podcast recording; she'll be performing stand-up and bringing back the characters that have become her trademark. So you get the conversational side of the podcast and the performance side of her comedy in one go.
The Funjelah podcast is where she talks through her life and her observations, and doing it live changes the energy. Instead of listening to a finished episode later, you're in the room while it's happening, with the special guests sitting in and the audience providing the reactions that end up in the final cut. It's a different way to see her work than a standard comedy set.
