A dinner series by Ermantourage for Houstonians who love horror, the supernatural and the paranormal, bringing together a small group of strangers to share a meal.
Foodies & Fears is back in Houston on Wednesday, December 31, with another dinner for people who love horror, the supernatural, and the paranormal. This one is at Restaurant of the Week, and it's part of a series run by Ermantourage in partnership with My Paranormal Podcast. The whole thing is built around bringing together a small group of strangers—four to six people max—to share a table and a meal at a local restaurant. The organizers book through OpenTable, Resy, or a similar platform, so the dinner isn't directly associated with the restaurant itself.
That's the core of it: a few people who don't know each other sitting down for dinner and talking about the things that go bump in the night. The organizers frame it as a way to make friends in a no-gimmicks, human-to-human way, and they make it clear that these aren't dating gatherings. If you've spent your time in Houston hanging out with the paranormal crowd, it's a pretty straightforward way to meet a few more people who share the interest.
There's a charitable side to it, too. A portion of the proceeds goes to The Comeunity Project, an initiative that supports families in need. So, along with the meal and the conversation, some of your ticket money goes toward something beyond the table.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Houston and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Tickets are paid and refundable up to seven days before the event. If you're in the mood for a New Year's Eve dinner with people who'd rather talk about ghosts than the usual small talk, this is a good place to start.
