An annual festival celebrating LGBTQIA+ History Month with arts and crafts, live performances, community resources and activities for children, welcoming families and allies.
Families with Pride returns to Discovery Green on Saturday, October 24, as part of LGBTQIA+ History Month. It's an annual festival that brings together LGBTQIA+ families, allies, and anyone looking for a welcoming community celebration, and this year it's presented by the Harris County Attorney's Office in partnership with the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce and Discovery Green.
The day is built for all ages, so you can bring the kids along without worrying about finding something to keep them occupied. There'll be arts and crafts, live performances, and activities specifically for children, alongside community resources for families to browse. It's designed to work as a full-day outing rather than a quick stop, with enough going on that you can spend as much or as little time as you like.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Houston and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

At its core, the festival is about celebrating love, togetherness, family, and pride, and it welcomes LGBTQIA+ families, allies, and anyone who wants to be part of a community celebration. It's hosted by Harris County Attorney Abbie Kamin, and the partnership with the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce and Discovery Green puts it right in the heart of the city. The whole thing is free to attend, and it falls on Saturday, October 24, at Discovery Green.
