A hands-on studio session where attendees design and paint a custom doormat using stencils and vibrant paint, with all materials provided.
Studio 786 is hosting the Doormat Painting Experience on Wednesday, October 14, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. It's a hands-on studio session where you design and paint your own custom doormat, and the best part is that it runs daily through December 31, so if that Wednesday doesn't work, you've got plenty of other dates to choose from.
The session is built around stencils and vibrant paint, and they walk you through it with step-by-step guidance in a relaxed setting. You don't need any prior art experience to get into it—the whole point is that they provide all the materials, so you just show up and leave with a personalized piece of home decor. It's the kind of thing that works as a solo project or as something to do with a friend, and since it's a guided session, you're not left guessing how to start.

Because it's a recurring event, you can pick a day that fits your schedule rather than trying to clear a whole evening. The studio is located at 7636 Harwin Dr. STE 308 in Houston, and each session runs for an hour and a half, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. The cost is $58, and that covers the doormat, the paint, the stencils, and the guidance.
