Concert by the downtempo deathcore band Distant, with support from Heavy//Hitter, Torn Open and Katywentmissing.
Distant play The Secret Group on Tuesday, November 17, as part of their US tour. They're a four-piece downtempo deathcore band with members from Rotterdam, The Netherlands and Bratislava, Slovakia, and they've been at it since 2014. The lineup is Nouri Yetgin on guitar, Elmer Maurits on bass, Alan Grnja on vocals and Rene Gerbrandij on drums.
They've put out a fair amount of material over the last decade. It started with the Slither EP in 2015, followed by the full-length Tyrannotophia in 2019. In 2021 they released Aeons Of Oblivion, a three-part saga, and then Heritage in 2023. That's four releases in eight years, so there's a decent catalog to pull from for a set.
They aren't the only ones on the bill. Heavy//Hitter, Torn Open and Katywentmissing are all opening for them, so it's a full night of music rather than just one band. The show is all ages, which means you can bring younger friends along if they're into this kind of thing.
