Death Cab for Cutie performs live at 713 Music Hall in Houston as part of their I Built You A Tower tour, with support from Swapmeet.
Death Cab for Cutie play 713 Music Hall on Monday, March 22, 2027, at 8 PM. They're touring I Built You A Tower, the album they released on June 5, 2026, and the Houston date is part of their North American headlining run. The Australian indie band Swapmeet opens.
It's been a long road to this record. Death Cab has been active since 1997, with 11 studio albums and eight Grammy nominations, and they've built their name on introspective, poetic songwriting. More than 20 years after Transatlanticism, their last truly independent album, they left Atlantic Records and signed with Anti. I Built You A Tower is the first full-length they've put out under the new label.
The lineup on stage is the one you'd expect: Benjamin Gibbard, Nicholas Harmer, Jason McGerr, Dave Depper, and Zac Rae. It's the same group that recorded Narrow Stairs and Codes and Keys, the albums that brought them their biggest mainstream success. The Houston show is one stop in a Texas run that continues in Austin on March 23 and Dallas on March 24.

Along with the tour announcement, the band shared a new lyric video for "Stone Over Water," animated by musician and animator Sean Solomon, who said he found the song incredibly personal. The show starts at 8 PM at 713 Music Hall on Monday, March 22.
