Acoustic rock performance by the band Daughtry as part of their 20 Years Unplugged tour, marking their twentieth anniversary.
Daughtry play Bayou Music Center on Sunday, January 31, 2027, as part of their 20 Years Unplugged tour. It's an acoustic show, so the full-band sound they're known for gets stripped back for the night. The set mixes the band's classics, current hits, and some unexpected gems, all put together to mark the group's twentieth anniversary.
If you're not familiar with the history, the band's self-titled debut in 2007 was a massive run: it became the top-selling album of that year and the fastest-selling rock debut in SoundScan history. It earned four GRAMMY nominations, four American Music Awards, and seven Billboard Music Awards, including Album of the Year, and went four times Platinum. Later records like Cage To Rattle (2018) were certified Gold. Fronted by Chris Daughtry and hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, they released Dearly Beloved in 2021. More recently, their 2023 cover of Journey's "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)", featuring Lzzy Hale, became a Top 10 hit, followed by the heavy-rock single "Artificial", their first No. 1 in the Active Rock format.
Because this is an acoustic date, the songs you might recognize from the radio will sound different here than they do on the records. The set pulls from that early material, the newer releases, and a few deep cuts that don't usually make the tour list, all played unplugged. It's a look back at twenty years of the band's catalog in one night.
