Saxophonist Joshua Redman performs with his quartet, Words Fall Short, at the Wortham Theater Center, opening DACAMERA's jazz season.
Joshua Redman returns to Houston on Saturday, October 17, at the Wortham Theater Center. He's playing with the quartet from his most recent recording, Words Fall Short, and the show opens DACAMERA's jazz season.
Redman is a ten-time Grammy nominee, and this is the same group he's been touring with since the album came out. On piano is Paul Cornish, a Houston native and Kinder HSPVA graduate, which gives the night a local connection beyond just the venue. He's joined by bassist Philip Norris and drummer Nazir Ebo. Together they make up the Joshua Redman Quartet, and the set will draw from Words Fall Short.
