Annual culinary and wine experience featuring sparkling wines from the US and France paired with globally inspired cuisine, celebrating 250 years of friendship between the US and France.
Corks & Forks returns to the Hilton University of Houston on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 6 to 8 PM. It's an annual culinary and wine experience run by the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership at the University of Houston, and this year marks its fifth edition.
If you've been following it since the start, you know the event changes its focus every year. The 2022 debut was 'Around the World,' followed by 'The Big 12' in 2023, 'Haunting at the Hilton' in 2024, and 'Night at the Movies' in 2025. This edition celebrates 250 years of friendship, heritage, and hospitality between the United States and France. The evening features six sparkling wines from the two countries, each paired with globally inspired cuisine.
One of the things that sets this apart from a typical tasting is who's behind it. The entire event is planned and executed by students under the guidance of executive director Erin Kenyan. It's a chance for them to put their hospitality knowledge and leadership skills into practice in a real-world setting, and the proceeds go toward the College's student scholarships. So, when you're there, you're seeing the work of the students themselves.
