Singer-songwriter Corey Kent performs live on his Heartland Rock and Roll Tour at the House of Blues in Houston, with support from Tyler Nance and Jacob Hackworth.
Corey Kent brings his Heartland Rock and Roll Tour to the House of Blues on Saturday, January 23, 2027, with Tyler Nance and Jacob Hackworth opening. The show starts at 7 PM at 1204 Caroline St, in the heart of downtown Houston.
Kent is a singer-songwriter from Bixby, Oklahoma, and the tour is built around his latest album, Heartland Rock and Roll, which came out on September 25. It's a record that blends country, rock and soul, and the set will lean on it. You'll hear tracks like "Everyday Life," "Rocky Mountain Low" featuring Koe Wetzel, "Wannabe," "Cigarette Burns," and "Rather Be Here" featuring Jason Aldean. His current single, "Empty Words," is climbing country radio right now, so that's one you'll likely recognize.
Beyond the music, Kent is pretty open about who he is. He describes himself as a husband, a father, and a big fan of Kings of Leon, Oklahoma State football and Indian Motorcycles. He's also quick to remind people that "Rock & Roll ain't dead," a line that fits the mix of country and rock he's playing. The tour itself kicks off on January 22 at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth, and from there it's reimagined for intimate theaters, clubs and legendary venues across the country, eventually winding up at the Ryman Auditorium.
