Bradley's Bonus Book Club

Bradley's Bonus Book Club meets at Christ Church Cathedral on Wednesday, October 7, at 6:30 PM. It's a monthly gathering led by Canon Bradley Varnell, and the group spends its time talking through books that touch on faith, history, biography, and literature. The range is wide enough that you don't have to be a specialist in any one of those things to fit in—it's more about the conversation than the credentials.

If you're new to the group, you're welcome. There's no requirement to have been there from the start, and the club is open to anyone who wants to spend an evening talking about what they're reading. The meetings run on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM, with a few breaks along the way: October 7, November 4, and December 2 are the next three, then a gap in January, and back again on February 3. That means if you can't make this one, there's another chance coming up shortly after.

One practical perk for members: you get 20% off Book Club titles at the Cathedral Bookstore, so if you're picking up the month's selection there, it'll cost you a bit less. For more information or any questions, you can reach out to Lucy Chambers.

The meetings are held in the Jeffers Conference Room at Christ Church Cathedral, 1117 Texas Ave. in Houston. Admission is free.
