Three-day outdoor art festival with galleries, live entertainment, food trucks, and a wine and craft beer garden.
The Bayou City Art Festival returns to Memorial Park from October 9 to 11, 2026, running 10 AM to 6 PM each day. It's a three-day outdoor art festival that brings together more than 300 juried master artists from around the world, working across 19 different disciplines. If you're into fine art, that's a lot of ground to cover in one weekend.
One of the featured artists this year is Aubrey Hogan, an acrylic painter from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She works in heavy-body acrylic and draws on the impasto tradition of French Impressionism—that thick, textured application of paint that lets you see the brushstrokes on the canvas. With over 300 artists in the mix, her work is just one of many styles you'll find across the grounds.
Beyond the art, the weekend includes live music, local food trucks, and kids' areas with interactive crafts. The festival is produced by the Art Colony Association Inc., a 501(c)(3) that has donated more than $4 million to local community outreach groups over the last 54 years. They partner each festival with local nonprofits, and a portion of the proceeds goes to them.
