Aurorawave

Aurorawave play Warehouse Live Midtown on Sunday, November 15, with SiM and Zero 9:36 opening. It's a three-band bill that pulls from a few different corners of the rock world, and it's the headliner that gives the night its particular shape.

If you haven't come across them yet, Aurorawave is a band that doesn't fit neatly into one box. They blend heavy rock with reggae, and they've built their sound around that contrast. Nathan Aurora handles vocals and guitar, with Tanner Arebalo on drums, Mike Mocerino on guitar, and Ray Worrick on bass. They've become known for high-energy live shows and a magnetic stage presence, and they've quickly built a name for themselves across the rock, alternative, and reggae scenes.

That sound first came together on their self-titled debut album, released on August 2, 2024, through Ineffable Records. It's a 13-track record that brought in a wide range of guests. On the rock side, they collaborated with The Ghost Inside, Atreyu, and Attila. On the reggae side, they worked with Surfer Girl, Satsang, and Layton Meacham. Having both those worlds on one album gives you a good sense of where they're coming from—heavy riffs and reggae grooves sitting side by side rather than fighting for space.

With SiM and Zero 9:36 on the bill, the night leans toward the heavier end of the spectrum. The show starts at 7:30 PM at Warehouse Live Midtown, 2600 Travis St, and tickets run from $29.50 to $35.00.
