Dance of Asian America's Asia to the World, a dance showcase celebrating heritage, creativity, and connection, on the Hermann Park stage.
Dance of Asian America brings Asia to the World to the Miller Outdoor Theatre on Saturday, October 17, 2026. It's a single night of dance on the Hermann Park stage, and it marks the organization's 25th anniversary.
Dance of Asian America (DAA) has spent more than two decades promoting and preserving Asia's cultural heritage through authentic Asian dance. Over those years, they've worked to sustain traditions, build international connections, and teach Houstonians about cross-cultural understanding. They've also focused on nurturing new generations of professional artists, so the anniversary is as much about where they've been as where they're going.
Asia to the World is the showcase they've put together for the occasion. They describe it as a dance celebrating heritage, creativity, and connection, and it brings world-class dance to the park for one night. The performance is a look at the different traditions they've spent the last 25 years championing, presented as a single program.
