Aida Cuevas, the Queen of Ranchera, celebrates her 50th anniversary with an international tour featuring her 43 albums and 11 million copies sold worldwide, performed with a full mariachi.
Aida Cuevas brings her 50 Years Singing to Mexico tour to Jones Hall on Friday, February 26, 2027. It's a one-night-only stop in Houston, and she'll be backed by a full mariachi on stage. The set draws from five decades of her career, with songs like "El Pastor" and "Quizás Mañana" in the mix.
Cuevas is billed as the "Queen of Ranchera," and the numbers back up the title. She's recorded 43 albums and sold 11 million copies worldwide. Over that time, she's earned 11 Grammy nominations for Best Mariachi/Ranchero Album, taking home two of them. She's also the only woman in mariachi to win both a Grammy and a Latin Grammy.
This particular tour marks the 50th anniversary of her career, so the program is a look back across those five decades rather than a focus on one record. With a full mariachi behind her, it's the traditional sound she's built her name on.
