A contemporary art fair featuring over 350 artists from 55 galleries, with special installations and a focus on Hispanic and Latin American artists.
Affordable Art Fair makes its Houston debut at the George R. Brown Convention Center from October 15 to 18, 2026. It's a fair in the truest sense: 55 galleries bringing more than 350 contemporary artists under one roof, with everything on display for sale. The lineup pulls from here and farโ17 galleries are from Houston, 22 come from across the U.S., and 16 are international. You'll find work across sculpture, textiles, photography, and printmaking, and the price tags stay within a specific range: $100 to $12,000.
This particular edition is timed to Hispanic Heritage Month, and the fair leans into it. The Houston debut spotlights Hispanic and Latin American artists, with Houston's Serrano Gallery and Argentina's AC Latin Art showing rosters made up entirely of artists of Latin or Hispanic origin. Beyond the booths, there are special installations by Kayla Powers, Dan Trelenberg, and Brendan Flores, and the campaign artwork is March 19th (Bathwater, Breastmilk) by Galina Kurlat.
It's a global operation, too. The fair started in London's Battersea Park in October 1999, where ten thousand people browsed thousands of original contemporary works in a relaxed setting. Since then, it's expanded to cities like Amsterdam, Austin, Berlin, Boston, Brussels, Hamburg, Hong Kong, Melbourne, New York, Singapore, Stockholm, Sydney, and Vienna, drawing nearly 280,000 visitors a year and more than 3.5 million since the beginning. Fair Director Cori Teague, who joined the team in 2023 after launching the Austin edition in 2024, is leading a tour of her top picks across the different mediums.
