Death metal band Aborted performs at House of Blues Houston, headlined by Nekrogoblikon.
Aborted are playing the House of Blues Houston on Wednesday, October 21, as part of a full bill that includes Nekrogoblikon, Signs of the Swarm, and Party Cannon. It's a death metal night with four bands on one stage, so you'll get a good run of them in a single evening.
Aborted are a Belgian death metal act fronted by Sven 'Svencho' de Caluwé. They've been at it for over twenty years, with six full-length albums since their 2003 debut, Goremageddon: The Saw and the Carnage Done. Their tenth full-length, TerrorVision, came out in 2018 and took more than a year and a half to write with producer Kristian 'Kohle' Kohlmannslehner. That record marked a shift in their lyrics toward 1980s horror movies, moving away from the Fulci and Argento influences that shaped their earlier work. The cover art for TerrorVision was done by Swedish artist Pär Olofsson.
Rounding out the band are Ken Bedene on drums, Mendel bij de Leij and Ian Jekelis on guitars, and Stefano Franceschini on bass. They're the headliners here, with Nekrogoblikon, Signs of the Swarm, and Party Cannon filling out the rest of the bill.
