7th Annual M-K-T Hike, Bike & Fright Fest

M-K-T hosts its 7th Annual Hike, Bike & Fright Fest on Saturday, October 24, from 2 PM to 5 PM. The whole thing is built around a Trick-or-Treat Trail that runs across the property, so you can walk, bike, or roll through and stop for sweets and treats at participating shops, eateries, and wellness destinations. Kids and pups are encouraged to show up in their Halloween best, and since the site is right off the Heights Hike & Bike Trail, it's an easy one to reach on two wheels.

While the trail is the main draw, there's a full schedule of performances on the Trailside Lawn, all brought to life by Dreamland Entertainment. Dave and Jake Rangel kick things off with magic from 2 PM to 2:20 PM, followed by a live saw-in-half magic show from 2:30 PM to 2:50 PM. Two DJs keep the music going throughout the entire afternoon, and a larger-than-life spider on stilts and a rag doll on roller skates roam the grounds from 2 PM to 4 PM. Tarot readings by Amber Ambrose run from 2 PM to 4:30 PM, and AndyRoo leads a Trick-or-Treat Trail Mix singalong from 3 PM to 3:45 PM.

Beyond the performances, there are a few other things to pick up. The Plant Project is running a 'Trick or Treat, Pick a Plant!' potting bar with free mini succulents. A Force of Nature is sponsoring hydration, and Eureka Heights is providing complimentary beer for those 21 and over. When you arrive, you can grab a trail map at the M-K-T community tent or the Building 1 Courtyard DJ booth to help you navigate the stops.

The fest is free, and parking is free on a first-come, first-served basis. It runs rain or shine, though some of the performances and attractions are weather permitting. It all happens at M-K-T, 600 North Shepherd Drive, from 2 PM to 5 PM.
