22nd Annual CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare Nun Run

The Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word - Houston are hosting the 22nd Annual CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare Nun Run on Saturday, October 10, starting at Villa de Matel Convent. It's a motorcycle ride that raises money for CHRISTUS School Clinics, which provide healthcare to children in some of Houston's most underserved communities.

The ride itself is police-escorted by the Blue Knights, starting at the convent and running all the way to Topwater Grill, where the finish line is marked by a celebration. Along the route, you'll see the sisters themselves on the road, riding alongside volunteer drivers—a tradition that's become one of the event's most recognized sights.

Beyond the ride, it's a fundraiser that brings together riders, families, and supporters to invest in the health and well-being of children across the city. The money goes to the CHRISTUS School Clinics, so the morning has a clear purpose behind it. The ride kicks off at 8 AM at the Villa de Matel Convent, 6510 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023, and wraps up at Topwater Grill. Entry ranges from $40 to $10,000.
