A historic house and garden tour showcasing six century-old bungalows and two gardens in the Norhill neighbourhood, serving as a fundraiser for the Norhill Neighbourhood Association.
The Norhill Neighborhood Association is opening up some of the neighborhood's best-kept secrets for the 2026 Norhill Bungalow & Garden Tour, running Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, from 12 PM to 6 PM. The tour is centered around Hope Lutheran Church (formerly the Norhill Church of Christ) at 634 W. Cottage, and it's a good way to spend a weekend if you've ever wondered what's behind the fences of some of the area's oldest homes.
There are six bungalows on the tour, each more than a century old, and two gardens. Between them, you'll see the architecture, craftsmanship, and outdoor spaces that define Norhill as one of Houston's most historic neighborhoods. It's a self-guided look at the kind of homes that give the area its character, so you can take your time and move at your own pace.
Beyond the houses, the tour is a fundraiser for the Norhill Neighborhood Association. The money goes toward neighborhood events, beautification efforts—like the historic blue tile project—preservation initiatives, and programs that keep the community connected. The church's recently renovated space is open to the public throughout the weekend, and if you're interested in helping out, volunteer docents get a free ticket and an invitation to the post-tour party on Sunday evening.

Every ticket also enters you into a drawing for an original watercolor by local artist Kristal Pedle, donated by L'Atelier Art Gallery on Studewood. Pre-sale tickets are $30 and available online only, with pick-up on October 17 and 18 at the ticket booth. During the tour weekend, tickets are $35, available either online or in person at the same booth. Both run from 12 PM to 6 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
