A 20-mile round trip bike ride along the Bayou Greenway trail from Hermann Park to the Port of Houston, open to all skill levels.
The Hermann Park Conservancy is bringing back the Park to Port Bike Ride on Saturday, October 24, from 8 AM to 11 AM. It's the 12th edition of the ride, presented by Port Houston, and it's the Conservancy's signature cycling event of the year.
The ride is a 20-mile round trip that starts at Bayou Parkland, 6532 Almeda Rd, in Hermann Park. From there, you follow the Bayou Greenway trail out to Mason Park, near the Port of Houston. That's where the turn-around party breaks up the ride, and once you make it back, a post-ride party closes things out under the Bill Coats Bridge. It's open to riders of all skill levels and it's not a race, so you set your own pace.
Beyond the ride itself, the event supports the Conservancy's stewardship of Hermann Park and draws attention to the city's growing Bayou Greenway trail system. Your entry includes a T-shirt, and when you sign up, you can make an optional donation to a charity or nonprofit of your choice.
