Houston RC is a hobby store at 1738 West Tidwell Road, Houston, TX 77091, focused on radio-controlled vehicles and accessories. Its selection covers several scales and styles, from Mini-Z cars and 1/10 on-road and off-road models to rock crawlers, tools, wheels, tires and replacement parts. The shop also has three indoor racing tracks, an air-conditioned pit area and plenty of outdoor parking, so it works both for shopping and for spending time working on a vehicle.

The atmosphere is described as compact but full of activity. Reviews often mention the friendly service, with Moe and the staff making children and beginners feel comfortable. That matters here because the store is not limited to experienced hobbyists: customers mention learning about rock crawling and enjoying the courses even when they are new to the hobby. Crawling courses are available every day, while Thursdays feature MidWeek Madness Racing, with OnRoad, OffRoad, Mini-Z and Crawling events. Since schedules can change, it is sensible to confirm the current timetable before heading over.
Prices cover a wide range. Smaller items include the HoustonRC 1/10 Elastic Winch Tow Rope at $9, HoustonRC Brass Wheel Weights for SCX30 at $12 and scale wheel screw kits from $13.99 to $14.99. Ready-to-run models include the Kyosho First Mini-Z RWD ReadySet at $50, the Axial SCX30 Toyota Tacoma at $99.99 and the HobbyPlus Fortis Rally Raid Truck at $269.99. Larger options include the Kyosho KC10 Toyota Land Cruiser 60 at $419.99. Some listed products, including certain MINI-Z models and the Orlandoo Hunter kit, are sold out, so availability should be checked before making a specific trip.
For someone curious about RC cars, Houston RC offers a practical way to see the hobby in action rather than only browsing shelves. The indoor tracks, pit space and regular events give visitors a chance to ask questions, watch different vehicle types and decide what fits their interests and budget. The store is open seven days for crawling activities according to the available information, but no complete retail-hour schedule was provided.
