The Old Burying Ground is a non-denominational cemetery and National Historic Site of Canada located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Established in 1749, it served the city until its closure in 1844 and is the final resting place of more than 10,000 people from a broad cross-section of Nova Scotian society. Fenced and landscaped in the 1860s, it reflects the early history of Halifax.
