La Chaloupe is the new cultural and community centre for the Acadian and francophone communities of the Halifax Peninsula. It includes a performance hall, a café, a kitchen, and spaces for community programming.
Le Diable à Cinq, a five-piece Quebec folk-trad band with a rock attitude, plays La Chaloupe on Oxford Street.
