X of Pride returns to the Grafton Street Dinner Theatre on Sunday, July 19, as part of the 2026 Halifax Pride Festival. It's a drag pageant that's been running for eight years now, and it's built around alternative drag—the kind of performance that sits outside the usual pageant mould. The night is split into two parts: a themed runway and a talent presentation, with the judging handled by Halifax drag icons Beef Pattie, Aaris, and Randi E. Rogenous.
The pageant describes itself as a celebration of bold artistry and performers who thrive outside the box, and the runway and talent segments are where that comes through. For eight years, it's served as a platform for weird, wonderful, and boundary-pushing artists to show what they can do. The whole thing is hosted by Bridget Von Snaps, Vanity Station, and Randi E. Rogenous, who also takes a seat on the judging panel.

The show runs from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Grafton Street Dinner Theatre, 1741 Grafton Street. Tickets are C$15 for early birds, C$20 for general admission, and C$25 at the door.
