Trooper

Trooper are playing two nights at the Bruce Guthro Theatre at Casino Nova Scotia, on Thursday, September 3 and Friday, September 4, 2026. It's a double-header in the city, so you've got two chances to catch them if one night doesn't work for you.

If you've never heard of them, Trooper is one of Canada's most well-known rock bands, often called 'Canada's Greatest Party Band'. They've sold millions of records and picked up a Juno Award for Band of the Year along the way, and Universal Music ranks them among the country's top five selling bands of all time. In 2023, they were inducted into both the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and Canada's Walk of Fame.

Their ten studio albums have earned multiple gold and platinum certifications, and their six-times platinum greatest hits album, Hot Shots, is still one of the country's most enduring party soundtracks. That's where you'll find the songs most people know: 'We're Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time)', 'Raise a Little Hell', 'The Boys in the Bright White Sportscar' and 'Two for the Show'.

The band formed in Vancouver around vocalist Ramon McGuire, who was signed by Randy Bachman. They're still selling out shows across the country, and these two dates in Halifax are part of that run. The theatre is at 1983 Upper Water Street, and tickets start at C$90.
