The Tragically Hip tribute show by The Fabulously Rich, fronted by Dennis Ellsworth, at The Marquee Ballroom.
The Fabulously Rich are playing The Marquee Ballroom on Saturday, October 17, for a tribute to The Tragically Hip. It's a full evening of Hip songs, with the band fronted by Dennis Ellsworth.
There's a bit of a story behind how this one came together. The Fabulously Rich formed after Ellsworth ended up collaborating with Gord Downie, the two of them working on a musical version of Downie's poem Coke Machine Glow. Since then, the band has built its following as a tribute to The Tragically Hip, and this is their Halifax stop. The Marquee Ballroom holds 750, so it's a decent-sized room for a night like this.
