Free indie folk show by Tayler Jade, from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, at Propeller Arcade.
Tayler Jade plays Propeller Arcade on Thursday 5 November. It's a solo bill, with Jade as the only act on the night, so the whole set belongs to one voice.
Jade is an indie folk artist from Canada's East Coast, hailing from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The music sits across indie rock and indie folk, and since the set is a solo one, you'll hear that sound stripped back to its basics. It's a local artist playing in a local room, so it's a good chance to catch a Nova Scotian act on home turf.
If you're not already familiar, Jade's work pulls from both ends of that indie folk description: the folk side brings the acoustic, song-led focus, while the indie rock side adds the electric edge. Hearing them live is the best way to see where those two styles meet. With no other bands on the bill, the evening stays focused on Jade's songs from start to finish.
