Southern rock band Southbound Sinners performs its debut show at The Carleton.
Southbound Sinners make their debut at The Carleton on Friday, August 28, in downtown Halifax. It's their first show under this name, so it's the first time you'll be able to catch them live.
They're southern rock aficionados, and they build their sets around covers of the genre's best acts. They cite The Allman Brothers and CCR as past influences, and they pull from there alongside tunes by up-and-coming southern rock artists from around the world. If you're into the sound of the American South, that's exactly what they're bringing to the stage.
There's a bit of local history behind the name, too. The members have all been in and out of local bands over the years, so while this is their debut as Southbound Sinners, they're not new to the city's music scene. This is the first time they've come together as a unit and billed it as their own show.

The night is a general admission seated and standing show, with standing and dancing room; those who prefer to sit are advised to arrive early. It runs from 8:00 pm to 11:30 pm, and tickets are C$12.50 plus HST, which comes to C$14.25 including taxes.
