A weekly social gathering with drinks and entertainment at The Roxbury in Downtown Halifax.
Sociable Sundays are running at The Roxbury throughout the summer, with the series stretching from July 11 to July 25. It's a Sunday afternoon and evening thing, so it fits into the gap between the Saturday night and the start of the work week, and it's held at The Roxbury, which is at 1743 Grafton Street in downtown Halifax.
If you've spent any time around Grafton Street, you know the spot. The Roxbury is a staple of the downtown scene, and Sociable Sundays is their take on the Sunday session—the kind of thing that works whether you're rolling in with a group or just stopping by for a drink before the week kicks back in. It runs from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, so there's plenty of room to settle in for a few hours without having to rush off.
There are a few drink specials running alongside it. Well shots are C$3.50, Jägermeister is C$5, and you can get a bucket of five Corona bottles for C$30. If you're heading in with a few friends, the bucket is the one that makes the most sense—it's C$6 a bottle when you split it five ways, and it keeps the table sorted for a while. The shots and Jäger are there if you're just having one or two.
