A high-energy DJ competition where two crews compete across three rounds of unpredictable music themes, part of the Red Bull Turn It Up Collegiate Tour.
Red Bull Turn It Up comes to The Marquee Ballroom on Thursday, September 10, as part of the inaugural Red Bull Turn It Up Collegiate Tour. It's a DJ competition that pits two crews against each other over three rounds, with each round built around a different, unpredictable music theme. The whole point is to see how they handle the curveballs โ creativity, versatility, and crowd control are what separate the two sides.
This is one of three stops on the tour, which is focused on student DJs from across the region. Since the themes are kept under wraps until the night, you'll see how each crew reacts in real time, rather than hearing a pre-planned set. It's less about who has the biggest library and more about who can read the room and pivot on the fly when the theme changes.
The night is for ages 19 and up, and it's general admission only, so there are no assigned seats โ just one room for everyone. The Marquee Ballroom is one of the bigger spots on the east coast, with a capacity of 750, which should make for a decent crowd to react to the different rounds.
