Nick Earle & The Reckless Hearts are playing The Carleton on Friday, September 4. It's a full-band rock show, and the line-up on stage will be Nick Earle, Andrew Rodgers, Clare Follett and Dan George.
Earle is a St. John's native who first made his name as half of the award-winning blues duo Earle & Coffin. Between that project and this one, he's picked up 23 MusicNL awards and two Canadian Folk Music Awards. The Reckless Hearts stepped out with a bigger, louder sound than the duo, and their debut record came out on April 24, 2020, following Earle's 2019 solo release Breaking New Ground. That first record has since passed 130,000 streams on Spotify and Apple Music.
Their live show leans on infectious hooks and legacy-sounding guitar solos, and they've shared stages with Nickelback, Matt Mays, The Trews and Third Eye Blind. Their first live album, Live At The JAG Soundhouse, a 16-track record, came out on May 21, 2026. The band is now managed by 745 Music Management, founded by Jay Emmons of The Glorious Sons.
