Music bingo with queer artists for Pride celebration, with food and drink specials, no cover charge.
Sparkles Comedy Productions is bringing Music Bingo to the Clayton Park Bar & Grill on Friday, July 24, from 10 am to 12 pm. It's part of their Pride programming this month, so the whole thing is built around queer artists. If you're not familiar with how it works, it's basically bingo but with songs instead of numbers: you listen to a clip, find the track on your card, and mark it off. There are three rounds in total, and the playlist is curated to keep the focus on queer musicians throughout.
Local comedians host the session, so it's as much about the banter as the music. They provide the dabbers, and the rounds run one after another, with the winners taking home prizes. Between the games, the bar has food and drink specials running, so you can grab something to eat while you wait for the next round to start.
